MEET GEOFF TREADGOLD
I love being
in the real estate industry. I have the opportunity
to meet great people every day and make their dreams
of owning “the perfect home” come true.
My wife and I have met some of our greatest and dearest
friends because of my job as a realtor.
I was born and raised
in Kelowna but left to live in Vancouver for 8 years
and work at the Royal Bank of Canada. I was Manager
of Customer Service for that time and definitely enjoyed
working with people. Being a 4th generation Treadgold
however, all of my family lived in Kelowna and I knew
that this is where I wanted to live. Being ambitious
and unafraid of change I left my job at the bank in
1992 and moved back to Kelowna to take the real estate
course. I have been a realtor for 13 years and know
that I have found my “niche”.
My wife Tara and
I met at the office in 1993 – Tara worked as
the office secretary/bookkeeper. In 1998 Tara had
the opportunity to get into the property management
division of our office. She jumped at the chance and
took the property management course and became licensed
as a property manager in 1999. Tara worked in the
commercial property management division of the office
until late 2004 when she left to go on maternity leave.
My wife and I adopted
our daughter Georgia from Korea in fall of 2004. Being
a parent has been the most rewarding and wonderful
experience of my life. Georgia is the center of our
universe and is lucky enough to have most of my family
and Tara’s family here to spoil her.
In fall of 2005
Tara’s maternity leave ended and we decided
that Tara would start working with me so that I could
better service my clients. Tara has brought a lot
of experience and knowledge with her from her 13 years
of working in the real estate and property management
industry.
Staying active
and busy is a big part of our lives. I am a member
of Gyro Canada. This is a non-profit organization
that is solely based on friendship and not business.
Our club has an annual fundraiser to raise proceeds
for Kelowna General Hospital and also to maintain
Gyro Park on Lakeshore Road. I enjoy snow skiing,
water skiing, rollerblading and playing squash. Tara
loves snowboarding, yoga, aerobics, running, volleyball
and scrap booking. We enjoy live theatre and concerts,
but our most precious time is family time. We relish
our time with Georgia along with our family and friends.
